When I was little I remember going to my mom moms in northeast Philly and have butter Cake. The ooey gooey goodness is one that takes craftsmanship to master! We found a pretty good bakery in Bensalem that makes one but it’s pretty far and we’ve all been craving it. So using Shannon’s recipe she found online that ended up being an exact replica of an ancient one from a newspaper clipping my mom had! End results. Better the next day minus the crust. I have never worked with yeast and it was interesting. Not hard but the first night taste the crust was so yeasty tasting and today dry and hard as a rock! Bizzare. I will use this recipe again but I need to find a different crust!
